Nataural Bamboo Fiber & HGT-FiberX™
Bamboo fiber is one of nature’s most versatile resources. From lightweight technical textiles to durable building materials, bamboo offers a renewable pathway to replace synthetic and carbon-intensive materials.
At Hangterra, we developed the HGT-FiberX™ mechanical extraction process, a patented innovation that produces both long fibers (for premium composites, reinforcement, and textiles) and short fibers (for nonwovens, insulation, and packaging). This flexibility allows us to tailor bamboo fiber for diverse industries while minimizing chemical use and environmental impact.
Beyond performance, the technique we developed together with our research partner UTHM is designed with climate impact in mind.”
- Carbon Removal: Bamboo rapidly captures CO₂ from the atmosphere as it grows.
- Carbon Avoidance: By replacing petroleum-based materials with bamboo fiber, we prevent additional CO₂ emissions from entering the cycle.
Through this dual approach, we are working toward a negative carbon footprint — proving that advanced materials can also be part of the climate solution.

Bamboo fiber is the building material of the future. It is renewable, light, strong, and can be bent into unique shapes!
Bamboo is an excellent tool in fighting climate change and deforestation. Because it grows so fast, it stores CO2 at a higher rate than other trees. It also helps to retain soil integrity, and is part of a biodiverse ecosystem.
Through Bambflex™ and Bambterra™, we aim to prove that bamboo can deliver 1001 possibilities — transforming industries with natural fibers, sustainable innovation, and infinite potential.
